Martin Larry, the designer behind the Kyabazinga’s outfit

Martin Larry Mukooza, known in the fashion world as Larry, is the 30-year-old creative mind behind the clothing brand Larry Casual — a label that has silently shaped the looks of Uganda’s top celebrities and dignitaries.

Over the years, Larry has tailored iconic pieces for music stars like Jackie Chandiru, Maureen Nantume, Sheebah Karungi, and producer Paddyman, as well as media personalities like Andrew Kyamagero. However, his talent doesn’t stop at celebrity wear — it reaches into the corridors of royalty and national significance.

According to a report by Sqoop.co.ug, Larry was recently confirmed as the official designer behind a royal groom’s outfit. When asked about the honor, Larry shared:

“We are deeply grateful for the chance to contribute to this celebration. It truly was an extraordinary experience to dress His Royal Highness, something that doesn’t happen every day.”

But for Larry, this wasn’t a first. With over 12 years in the fashion industry, he has frequently worked with high-profile figures.

“I must mention that this is not our first time being privileged to dress esteemed individuals. We had the honor of dressing the First Family during their 50th anniversary, as well as numerous royals like the Katikiro of Buganda on multiple occasions.”

His growing list of elite clients includes Sir Mesach Ssemakula, Blu3, Aziz Azion, Prince Junju, Pastor Robert Kayanja Junior, and ambassadors from various countries based in Uganda. Whether he’s working on red carpet couture or royal regalia, Larry Casual continues to set the standard for modern Ugandan fashion.
